Hey guys
I am looking for a 10-12 ft row boat or an actual row troller. Something I can row early and late season. Nothing fancy but a kayak canoe looks to unstable. This way when I am going fishing I can tell the wife I am going to workout. LOL! Seriously, If you have anything that may fit the bill send me a PM
thanks

Matt,

That would be an interesting project. I guess you can get the blueprints for that kind of thing? Where would you use something like that though? Even on a small body of water, with any head wind, it would be a nightmare. Unless of course they are a joy to row. Which I find hard to believe. Anyway, good luck with it should you decide to build one.
Oh, and Bob, you let me know when you get one and I'll ride along. :-p

You guys could try row trolling the steep breaklines on a lake like blue marsh or beltzville, that technique would deadly on the muskies.

Good luck,

Tim

I have an old 16' Gheenoe. It is a sponson bottom canoe, like an Old Towne; the sponson bottom makes it very stable. It is fiberglass; a bit on the heavy side. The transom is square; it is rated for a 10hp motor. It can be paddled, but not as fast as a regular canoe. It can be cartopped, I have no trailer. If you have any interest, call me a (732) 297-6098.

Still looking for a row troller. The ones that Heckels have a very expensive, funny how you add the word musky to a boat and the price triples. I just want a rowing skiff. Preferable something that has a keel to it so it stays straight and somewhat stable. I may just pick up a little row boat aluminum thing to tow around awhile
Matt I was thinking of building too but dont have the room, or if I could build it at work now there is an idea! Jeff I thought you were gonna buy Melissa and I that Dory for our wedding present??
