15ft or larger, a jon boat even so i can set it up with a deck like sebskie did. im looking for something around 1000 for a nicer boat and 500 for a jon boat.

I got a jon boat from Mercer Marine Supply in Hamilton, NJ years ago around this time. You can get a left over model pretty cheap as they will be promoting the new stuff. Also, the classifieds are always a good place to look.

Hey, just wondering how the search is going? I'm not in the market for a boat but still check out craigs list and the want ads, I love boats! ;D there's a lot of good deals out there right now.
A 15 or 16 ft. jon boat with a casting deck sounds like a nice set up...I'm finishing up a casting platform for the back of my boat to raise the casting level in the back and have another level platforms to fish from, it's fun doing boat projects. ;D Actually, Bushkill Tom first suggested I build it...good call.
Have fun getting that thing all set up the way you want it.
