OK so back in March several of us went to the Pittsburgh musky show. Musky Innovations had a booth. Tom Sabia and I approached Brad Ruh, the owner of Musky Innovations about a bait he produced many years ago for Crash's Landing in Kentucky. Tom had picked some up on one of his trips there and affectionately named the bait Shrek.
Long story short, this bait has produced some very impressive muskies over the years. Unfortunately, the bait was not made for very long, in fact it was produced in China, and they are near impossible to find. The bait glows in the dark and has been a real producer for us and the ones remaining are highly guarded!!
At the show, we talked Brad into to trying to reproduce this bait and we gave him a beat up old one to use as a template. Several weeks ago he mailed me a sample. While not identical, it is very close. It also glows in the dark and the overall pattern and colors are very close.
Brad is willing to do a limited run just for MI50. The price, due to the small custom run, is higher than a store bought version. I want to place the order soon for fall. He has indicated a 2-3 week turnaround. Sizes available and prices are as follows.
Reg Dawg -- $20
Mag Dawg -- $25
Pounder -- $35
Mag Double Dawgs -- $28.00
I will take orders through next Sunday night. I will need payment with your order unless we make other arrangements.
