Last nights meeting was enjoyable.We had some new faces,and missed some from the previous month.Hope to see you guys at the next meeting.With 15 in attendance 13 were members.and the official membership for mi50 is now 16 and rising.
frist l want to apologize if I get any ones name wrong or the wrong person all together.oh ya spelling.
the meeting started off with a word on perry smith.perry smith who was the president of muskie inc ,and author of the blue boat column in muskie mag,passed away a few days ago.perry was very heplfull and our go to guy when we had questions on getting the chapter started.
we discused the release forms.you new members should have recieved some in you package from muskie inc.these forms are important to the chapter,and to muskie inc. muskie inc uses the info to build there data base on the lunge log.the chapter uses the info to track the chapters catch and release contest.and to inform the fish comm. of how our local muskie water are doing.
we picked up two new sponsers.thank you shimano and musky innovations for your support and donations.
we distributed raffle tickets for the 2 nights at antons on greenwood lake,with one day guide service with pro guide jeff young.ticket cost $5.any members who mossed the meeting who wants to sell so tickets,or members who need more tickets to sell contact bob jones at bob@mi50.com or chuck@mi50.com . and thank you jeff young and antons for your contributions to the chapter.
we had an indepth discusion on safely releasing muskies.with input from every one in the room.
matt sabia has steped up to do the monthly news letter.we look forward to working with ya and look forward to that news letter.
we held a lure raffle at the meeting.we had 3 lucky winners congrads to dave little,andy leber,matt sabia, each took home a luer or two and a pack of leaders.and the chapter raised $110 for the night.thanks to all that perticipated.
