Hey all,

Just signed up. Name's Lenny. I'm from the NE area around wilkes barre, and spend my time hunting skis on the susquehanna. Always looking to get out with other muskie fisherman and meet new people. If anyone is in the surrounding area, or would like to fish the area shoot me a message. Good to be here!

Welcome Lenny! Lots of members here who fish the Susquehanna as well. Our next meeting is on Sept 4th at Casey's in Quakertown PA. A bit of a ride for you but try to make it if you can.

Thanks for the welcome mike... Quakertown is a bit of a haul for me working nights, but my schedule changes shortly, and I should be able to make one... Btw, if anyone sees this and takes it as an opportunity to go out on a boat with an experienced muskie fisherman you will be disappointed... If skill was measured In casts I would be Kevin van dam, but unfortunately that is not the case.. I fish hard though and put in long days... So if you want a day out on the water, regardless of skill level let me know guys... And if you can show me a thing or two, even better haha

Thanks Chad! Actually thinking of giving Marsh Creek a shot this weekend I believe. I am however concerned with water temps down there. Can anyone give me some insight? I would hate to make the trip all the way down there and come to find the water is in the 80s. That's just asking to hurt a fish. I know there is a good popluation of bass down there as well, but I can catch my fill of bass in the susky.

From what we know water temps were 82-83 degrees last week. Most likely still very warm as you mentioned. There's also been a very severe algae bloom and the water is stained a very "pea soup green". Visibility is probably less than 6". We need some cold nights.

Mike,

I fish the susquehanna almost exclusively, so the lack of visibility doesn't scare me, but with water temps like that I may be better suited to chuck lures in the susky until it cools a bit. Looks like its going to be a little cooler at night toward the middle of next week. Hopefully by mid september the temp will be in check.
