I thought I would wet everyone's appetite for the lure raffle this weekend.  I am donating one of the last true Weagles made to the raffle.  It is a pretty cool color:  Black/purple irridecent with a white belly.  Here's an E-bay link to what they look like and what they go for now.

  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA.....RK:MEWA:IT

I picked this one up at the pittsburg show (along with two others)for a bargain price of $30.00.  Heck if I sold it on E-bay I could  cover the flight cost one way!

Here's a pick of the other lures too.  They are a small Cobb countdown in a green/purple perch and a shad color Suick.  These baits are all new and never fished.  Here's your chance to own an expensive bait for as little as five bucks!  -Eric

Hey Eric,

Very generous of you to donate lures to the raffle. They, the raffles, are our biggest source of fund raising throughout the year and it is very much appreciated when others donate. They also give some the opportunity to own baits that they either wouldn't buy for themselves or wouldn't have thought to buy. Thanks

DL

Thank you for your generous donation - and for giving me a chance to add another Cobb to my steadily growing collection!

By my count we have 6 lures to be raffled off this month. I am bringing one, Eric has 3 and Bob has 2.
Would it be wise to hold one or two back for the following meeting?

I believe we are having the seminar in February. It would be great if we saved a couple of Eric's premium baits to raffle off as part of a package for the general public.

I will be adding a bait to the raffle for Saturday.

I think that is a great idea. (As long as Cabelas is OK with it). It's nice to see others donating some stuff. Like DL said it is our biggest money maker and if we spent less club money purchasing raffle lures it would become that much more profitable. Thanks- Eric

Bring your baits Eric.I'll bring mine. This is a very important meeting and maybe some premium baits will help fill some seats. We have plenty of other lures for the cabelas seminar raffle and I'd rather see someone in the club get a couple of those.Bob

I just picked up 10 Trueglides, but will not have them for this meeting. I could spare a couple for the seminar. They really get your attention and will prevoke even those with the tightest wallets to buy a couple of raffle tickets. (if Cabelas will let us) I don't mean MI members, rather the general public. -Eric

At what time and where in Cabelas is all this taking place? I'm interested in showing up. I may also be interested in joining muskies inc., althogh I'm not sure which chapter I should join, see,I live in Phillipsburg,NJ,which borders Penn., and I do some fishing in Pennsylvania waters, like Beltzville, the"Dead Sea", Wallenpaupack, and Raystown, but, I also fish Hopatcong,Mountain and Echo lakes here in Jersey more often.Where do you guys usually hold your meetings? THANKS!!!

Tom, I hope it's not the Hughes River on the bottom of Tuscarora.

bugbit,
The meeting is at 8am at Cabelas. We meet in the lobby area then go up to the conference room. We usually meet at sportsmans Center US Hwy Rte 1, Bordentown, NJ 08505 but sometimes at Cabelas. Hope that answers your questions and hope to see you there Sat.

Thanks,

I knew this would perk your ears up Greg. I've got issues. I'll send you some pictures tonight from home. Three are Turmoils, one Humpback, two Guppies and four Hustlers. I bought everything he had left. There were three on e-bay this week that ranged from around $40 to $60 each.

Great to see even more guys contributing. We can decide what lures to raffle and what to hold over at the meeting. Good stuff! -Eric

Trueglides are as nice a bait out there. Tremendous paint and finish. I like the 7" mini Hustlers and 9" Hustlers the best. Looking forward to throwing the new topwaters this summer. I'll post a pic of the different baits when I get a chance.
