Some new lure patterns...

I have had some requests for some new patterns I have never painted really, Well did a carp once before so this is version 2. The walleye is my first attemp and have some slight changes I will do for next one. So tell me what you think...likes/dislikes...  Any comments welcome.  Oh and yes they are custom homemade eyes.. I have started to play around with. Will probably offer to public soon for a little more $$ since they take some time to do.

Thx guys, DL...That bait is a custom made bait by Todd, he doesn't sell them at this point. I can repaint any bait you have in that pattern, but don't think I can get you that exact bait.

I can ask Ricky, who custom makes baits if he has any 10" bait he can make. But just to let you know they will probably run $35-$45 with one of my PJ's on it.

Thanks,
SebSkie

Nice plugs!!

What wood was used to build them?--The Carp and Walleye.
Are they through wired & weighted ?

I think I have that custom walleye 9 in. grandma in the picture. It's just a plain ol grandma blank painted and clear coated a bunch of times, no weights.

Right?

Thanks, Well the carp is a custom bait. The Walleye is a Steve Warner bait that was repainted..not the grandma I did for you Tim, but very similiar bait.

My buddy build me blanks and he uses Basswood. They are weighted and have screw eyes, not wire through. I know guys will argue with this, but I doubt any muskie will pull a screw eye out that is over 1" long and epoxied into the wood. The wood will break before the screw eye will pull out in my opinion.

You do great paint!!!
I use screw eyes in almost all of my plugs 1" and 3/4" all epoxied in.
Have yet to have one pulled out. A friend landed a 35 lb. striper on one of my spooks
an every thing held.
I do a lot of hand carved plugs, spooks, poppers, minnow type swimmers.
From 2 1/2 "/3" smallmouth plugs to 9" and 10" New England saltwater plugs.
It is an addiction as bad as fly tying!!
