i know michael jackson wore a glove, but he wasnt fishing for muskies when he did 😮 ;D
i saw all the posts for gloves for releasing fish, but i was wondering if any of you guys (or girls) can recommend a good cold weather fishing glove, preferably one that might have some kind of flap for the thumb for ease of casting.

Cabelas has their own brand I use. It's like a regular winter glove but it has a thumb flap that opens and there made with gor-Tex, which makes all the difference in freezing water and real cold weather.

Hey,

In my not so humble opinion, Carhart bibs and jacket are both heavy duty and well made. I use them both on the boat and on the ice. That is if we get ice!

Like Lehigh said, Cabela's Guide Wear. Its pricey but you can sit in puddles all day and not get wet. Their the only rain gear that DOES NOT LEAK, ever. Its amazing stuff. It has to be the guide wear with GORTEX. You can get insulated or non. If you get the insulated you can unzip the inner liner out and use it as a light jacket. Thats the ticket. No one will be disapointed in it. Promise there. It St. Lawerence tested. lol

Guide Wear all the way. I have been useing the bibs and parka for many years. I have their non insulated bibs and one of each of the jackets because mine does not have the zip out liner. I bought mine almost half off in the bargain cave... each year when they put out the new stock, last years goes on sale. The best part is cabelas return policy, after 4 or 5 years of hard use my bibs started to leak so I exchanged them which cost me 20 or 30$. Not bad. Bass Pro Shop also makes comparable rain gear.
