I need to line up two combos I aquired over the winter and was looking at the new Power Pro Red Phantom line since it would be a little easier to see when I have a few trolling lines out. However, I noticed it only goes up to 50lb. test. I'm trying to convince myself between the facts of practicality vs. convenience.

Helpful advice appreciated

Kevin

I was just talking to a friend of mine about this stuff today and the only thing I'm worried about is the fade factor, Power pro does not hold onto it's color. You know how the the green turns a light green well what color is the red going to turn once it fades? That's right PINK!!!!
Plus when you have the new line and your chucking baits your hand turns green, with the red I think it will be a mess.

Just remember...if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

I use the red stuff for river fishing. I have had it spooled on for alittle over a month. No fading, and NOTHING of your hands.

BTW, i got 65lb at cabelas in red for my flathead rod.

Jfisher, They all fade, give it time. The problem is the Spectra® Fiber can't hold color, no big deal, just making a joke.
