Seb started a post about the date and time for the 5th Annual Marsh Creek Spring tourny. Now I need everybody who is going to enter to sign up here with there partners. We need to get a head count together so I can get the insurance for the tourny. The date is May 3rd, you can start fishing at whatever time you want and it will end at 2:30 p.m, followed by the BBQ. Enter fee will be $30 plus $10 if you want a chance at the calcutta. First place prize is going to be .........Rods for the winning team. Thats right both partners will be getting rods. Either St. Croix's or Bulldawg rods, not positive on which yet. So if you enter for the calcutta and you win the tourney you'll be walking away with a rod and the calcutta!!! Also the title of "KING OF THE MARSH". Second place prize is still being determined. We'll be collecting the money at the next meeting and Aprils meeting. A lot of fish should be caught this year, lets have a great turnout! Start signing up under this thread. Later on.

I have to say I'm "tentative" for now. I haven't started therapy yet, so I don't know if I'll be ready or not. I'm probably going to be a late edition. Sorry I can't be more certain, but dealing with a rotator cuff injury, I just don't know! Sorry ! Stay tuned...

Yeah, kinda of a strange deal when you think about it. Prior to the event I would shoot an email over just to mention how many participants we will be expecting and then as Matt mentioned, we don't need to mail the check in till after the tournament.

There is a new insurance policy that just went into affect. This is an email I just recieved from Muskies Inc last week. I will post more info once I recieve it.
"FYI one of the features of the new program will remove the need to pay for every tournamnet. But details will be forthcoming. "

Yes, I know, but its a far greater thing I do, keeping peace in the family, than that which I would aspire to do otherwise.
Besides, with my lackluster performance, these past few years, I need to concentrate on waters that don't have the fishing pressure where my chances of landing a legal fish are better. At least that's what I tell myself.

I'm going to start to collect entry fees at the next meeting. I'd like to get this taken care of before we meet at the launch on May 3rd. If your not going to make any of the meetings till then pm me and I'll get you my address to mail the check. Remember...... entry fee is $30 and if you want a chance at the calcutta that's $10 on top of the entry fee. I'd also like to throw this out there, If you plan on fishing before sun up, make sure you have the proper lights for your boat, don't forget your headlamps and no matter what time you start fishing make sure you have the proper release tools ( long handled pliers, side cutters, jaw spreaders, big net, measuring device and a camera). We don't want "any" mishandled fish.
