Had a chance to do some electric-only boating on a rig that had a AutoPilot 24V system, and it was a great help. Digital steering that can be controlled from the back of the boat by using a wired controller. Optionally, you can upgrade to the copilot, allowing you to control it wirelessly. I really liked the the Autoplot feature, which allowed you to point the boat in a specific direction and the motor keeps you going that way while you fish/troll. The 14.5 ft boat seemed to be able to hit 2mph while we trolled.
In addition, there is a sonor module built into the motor for connecting to a fish-finder. A bit pricey, but seemed to be well worth it if you do alot of trolling in an electric only body of water.
