I've received a few requests for monetary donations for our Youth Fishing Day. If you wish to donate , you can do it one of two ways.

1 - Simply make a check out to "Penn Jersey Muskies Inc.", and ask to designate for our Youth Day, and send to me, and I will collect all and then send
to Greg, where he will deposit in our account.

2 - You can also use our PayPal account, which gets deposited directly into our account.

All donations are used to offset costs for the day... prizes, food, possible t-shirts and /or fishing equipment for the kids.

Any "unused donations",, will be deposited into our Club's Account, and used for future Club projects

Thank you so much for all your help to get this Day on it's feet and running!

Here is my address:

Does MI50 have a non-profit ID number? My contact for prizes is asking if we do before he submits the request to his company.
They can only write off the doantion if we are an established non-profit organization. If they cannot write off the donation it's doubtful they'll come through.

I have other opportunities if this falls through.

Mike,

I would think we do, but a lot of this stuff is still new to me. I will ask Matt and let you know.

Thanks,
Sebastian

;D

I heard from South Bend today that they will be donating prizes for the kids. They wouldn't clarify what but just that they would definetly be sending us something. I'll let everyone know when they arrive.

Received a couple of big boxes of tackle and stuff for the kids prizes from South Bend yesterday.

I'll open them tonight and post a pic of what we got.

Looks like they were very generous.

I can send a thank you letter or will you Seb?

Don't want to step on any toes. ;D

Mike, what I did last year, was to wait until Kid's Day is over, and then give them a picture of the "Sponsor/ Donation" banner with the kid's standing in front , and a "Thank You" letter. If you would like to undertake this "position" for this year, I'll PM you with the details. This is a nice way to get involved, without being able to make that day.

Ok, so I finally got around to opening the boxes from South Bend with the donated prizes for the kids.

Here's what we received

(10) 5'6" Spinning Combos w/ line on them
(10) Worm Gear Tackle Belt Packs
(30) Vinyl Stringers
(1) South Bend Banner (for picture with the kids)

I'll get these to George at the May club meeting.

I just got a commitment of 20-30 kids from Scout Troop 185 out of Quakertown.
They are making this part of a full day event they were planning for that day.
Dave Lynch, scout leader thanks us in advance and looks forward to the event.

George give me a call.
Tom Long, I owe you a phone call....
