Congrats to Dan and family! As a new dad here is what I can offer:

I. Buy a day bed for the nursery. Best investment I have ever made!

II. A nursery is where you nurse. If you every want to sleep again- promote nursing

III. Keep all fishing magazines and catalogs in the bathroom. Develop a severe case of Irritable Bowl Syndrome. It will be your only opportunity to read them. As a kid I never understood what took my dad so long in the bathroom. Now I know!

IV. Having a family means that you need a bigger, safer boat!

V. I haven't been fishing in almost 6 months, so you're on your own trying to figure that one out!

It's not as bad as some people make it out to be. It's tough at times, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! Best of luck to you and your family! -Eric

Hey Dan,

The best to you and your wife. Its truly a life changing (no, not life ending) event. Just wait til she's a teenager. You'll love it (he says with a knowing chuckle). Seriously, its an aspect of life that you can never appreciate until its a part of yours. But to see them grow, learn and develop into their own personality is truly rewarding.

Congrats to Dan & his wife! I highly recommend starting your new partners fishing career at the tender age of 2. Never to soon to learn how to use a baitcaster.
Again congrats & enjoy!!!

Thanks everyone!!! Great words of wisdom Eric, I love (III). Silvia, I definitely see summer camps in Rowan for her in the near future - we'll wait for the diaper stage to pass. What an experience!!!
Can't wait to go fishing again <<<<><<< <<<<><<< <<<<><<< [&]]
