I know it's a bit early, but any interest in getting out the 1st and having that first Musky Hunt for 2009? I know it's the day after THE Night, but nothing like a brisk Musky Hunt to start the year off right.

George, sounds good, it’s about the right time to start planning Christmas and New years musky trips, with how crazy things get around the holidays…I can’t think of anything better than getting out for some musky fishing!!! I’ll be free Jan 1 (after a bunch of Advil and water ;)) and plan on doing a lot of fishing over the holidays if I can, my tentative reserved days for muskies are Dec 28th (evening) through Saturday January 3rd.

I would love the opportunity to fish with some of you MI50 guys or gals and maybe get out there on some new waters. Anywhere in eastern PA is preferable, but then I usually drive 4-5 hours to go musky fishing, so…whatever . I have to remember to get a new 2009 PA license. New Years day may end up being a hunt for open water, some lakes may be frozen over, but rivers should be open. I’ve fished the Lehigh, Delaware and Susquehanna Rivers by boat, and the Skukill by foot…bushwhacking and throwing on the neoprene waders is definitely an option.

For lures, I plan on probably going with the dawgs or crank baits mainly, but really want to get one on a glider, here are some that I want to put in some more time on and hopefully entice a musky to eat one!

Tim...I'm loving it! You are awesome, man! That's what I like to hear, enthusiasm. Tim, if you don't get anyone to fish with, keep me in mind. Like you said, have to see "what's open". Might have to fish some of these "southern waters"...you know , all these balmy temps... way down here!
I propose a New Year's Day Hunt at Mercer County Lake...any seconds?

Happy Holidays to all and hope you get what you want most from Santa.

I'm not even going to attempt to go out New Years Day! That's my last day of employment and I plan to celebrate that day also! However, let me know what your January "work" schedule looks like and I'll be more than happy to go then! 21 days to go!!! 😀

Muskyless for 2008 Ed and I'm overdue!!!

Hooksets are free!!!

If I can hop a ride on someones boat, I'd be up for new years day.

But I may show up on 2 hours rest :-

As has been my practice over the last 3 years, I'll be on the water.
