I was quite hesitant in writing this note, but thought you should all know and might be interested. Recently I had a 5 day trip planned to Cave Run at Tony Grant's lodge. I've been waiting and planning this since March when I sent in a $100.00 deposit. A week ago Sunday , my sister passed away from a long battle with ALS. Reluctantly, I HAD to cancel my trip, as my sister's services were on this past Saturday. I called Tony to inform him of our cancellation, the same day of my sister's death. Without getting into a long explanation of my sister's closeness with me, needless to say, it's been a very difficult time. I'm not looking for any pity, but a little understanding, would have been nice.
Today, I text Tony to inquire about a return of my deposit, and was met with a coldness, and unfriendly response.
Quite frankly, there is no place on his website, that states any cancellation policy whatsoever. I would think under the circumstances, he would have, but instead was met with a "future date" deposit reply, instead. I was pretty shocked with his attitude, having overall a pretty positive impression of him. I couldn't believe he actually brought up the fact, that the last time we were there, Ed and I left early...( HURRICANE SANDY) !!!
I know my money is good anywhere, and it certainly won't be with him anymore!

WOW, George my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Team Tadpole has had there issues with Tony he pretty much thought he was to good to talk to us, even when we were tryin to buy his products.
