Clear Water Lure Selection How important?

Looking for some advice from experienced Musky hunters. When fishing on a very, very clear lake, would you use lures that closely resemble the bait fish (color, shape, size)? How important is this? What are some of your opinions on this matter.

Yes matching the hatch on clear water is a very good place to start . but dont be afraid of using the bright colors especially with cloud cover or heavy chop etc... youll have to experiment once in a while <<<<><<< musky matt
