Launching locations on the Susqhanna

Hello all, new to the board here.

I was planning on coming to Williamsport to fish this weekend and remembered the Little League World Series is going on and won't be able to find a place to stay so I was wondering if any of you would be willing to share some information in the Wilkes_Barre area. Some places to launch that I can run around with my jet safely.
Some places that are good to target, lures to use, any info will be great.

I live in the upper allegheny river area and normally fish that. I'm just ready to try something new and get away on a mini vacation with the wife.

I've fished muskies for years but have just been hitting them hard in the last two years, I'm 100% catch and release and have all the equipment to handle them safely. Not looking for favorite secret spots, just some area to take a look at and some good water that I can travel, launch locations too.

Thanks in advance, good luck on the water!

Frank

Frank,

Nice to have you aboard. I haven't had much experience with the river in that area but I believe that your jetboat is the key. Route 11 more or less follows the river and I'm sure there are boat launches along the way. Not knowing how big a boat you have, I would do some homework so that you're not trying to put it in at a ramp that is to small/shallow to handle it.
Regardless, good luck and feel free to post the results of your adventure here.

I have a 20HP jet prop motor on a 14/48 Jon boat, so I'm good for about 10-12" of water, less on my home waters I feel comfortable about.
14/48 is 14 feet long and 48" wide if you don't follow.

Any others have any other information.

Does anyone know the water conditions or a website that has the CFS flow and what a good CFS number is?

Just found this flow information that might be to some value to all who does know about it. Tons of rivers and streams on there, neat site!!!!!

http://waterdata.usgs.gov/pa/n.....?type=flow

If you find your location and hit the blue numbers on the left you can go and see a chart of the flow CFS from past days/weeks.

I just don't know what a average summer flow number is for Wilkes-Barre area is????

Nice site anyways!
