how many of you guys follow the weather patterns.? pre front, post front, moon phases.

I fish when i can,as much as i can.due to time restaints i'm not able to drop what i'm doing to fish an incoming front.nor do i blow off a day of fishing just because its post front conditions.i do try to fish the moon phases.mostly the full and the new.and befor i hit the water i always check the major and minor periods for the day.that way i can be on the best spot in the area during the major period ,or go back to a semi active fish that showed herself earlyer.I was keeping track is this info in my log book for about a year and found it to be very hit or miss.but as a rule of thumb i still follow it.

pre font: I tend to speed things up.spinners, crank baits, fast moving jerk baits
post fron:I slow down, slow moving jerk baits, twitch baits, jigs would be good but alittle to slow for me.

We should discuss this at our next meeting. Personally, I've had my best days in the rain.
Weather does make a difference.

hey chuck also like you my fishing time is 98 percent limited to the weekends but I am still a weather watcher. long stetches of calm weather after a front increase fish activity. rather that one front after another which would turn fish off or a slow a bite. multi sunny day followed by a weather change like clouds and wind seem to turn fish on. I think that you can read the fishes mood like bass sunny days fish are less likley come out of cover to bite cloudy days fish are more likley to be outlooking for food. sunny days and a little chop on the water and i think fish feel like they have more cove also. like the weather this week sunny 3-4 days strait and now some clouds warming alittle each day if i could pic I would fish today or tommorrow the cloud cover and breeze might be the turn on.Wake up matt Ill have to wait for this weekend. Barry that is a good idea for the next meeting Musky Matt L
