I have a Dawia accudepth plus line counter reel that i troll with. I have no problem with the reel when trolling in electric only lakes but fish Greenwood last year and used my gas motor trolling and line would go out in the trolling mode on the reel when trolling. Do i need a new real with more pounds of drag or is there something wrong with the reel?

Your Daiwa should be fine for trolling just about all lures.  Assuming you have the drag set correct, really big lures might pull some line at higher speeds. Are you trolling with braided line?   If so, do you have some type of backing on the reel to avoid having the braided line slip.  Have you lubricated the reel recently.  To much oil could also be the culprit.  Or, something has let go internally & the reel needs repair.

Yes, I am using braid with mono as backing. I have not recently oil the reel.I'm not trolling that fast usually nothing above 3.5mph. I guess i need to sent the reels in to be check out.

It does seem as though you've got something internally going on.  3.5mph is a cake walk for the reel with the majority of trolling baits.
